21-year-old Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) is a recent graduate of Montclair State University when she becomes a nanny to the X family: Mrs. Alexandra X (Laura Linney),Mr. Stan X (Paul Giamatti),Grayer Addison X (Nicholas Art), on the Upper East Side of New York City who turn out to be the family from hell. Life becomes complicated when she falls for a neighbour whom she nicknames Harvard Hottie (Chris Evans). Throughout the movie Annie is shown to be an introvert, but in the end she gathers the courage to blast the couple for their misdemeanor through a hidden spy camera in Teddy bear. This brings about a change in Alexandra and she later thanks her for bringing the nice change in her life.
